We’ve been worried sick for days about all our animal friends who live in the vicinity of the wildfires in California. So, we were very happy to learn about some humane and generous outreach to our fluffy buddies. We read in the August 28, 2009 issue of The Los Angeles Times about Terranea Resort, a luxury hotel in Rancho Palos Verdes that is providing free hotel rooms for evacuees and their pets. A number of families and their four legged loved ones have checked into the hotel. And, the bellboys have been offering treats to the animals. Those bellboys deserve a really good tip. If we ever take a vacation in the Los Angeles area, we’ll beg our mommy to stay at this resort. It seems purrrfectly nice for animals.
According to All Pet Radio, Petco and the Petco Foundation have started a relief fund to help aid animals affected by the wildfires. Petco has been offering free supplies to animal shelters.
