We want to send holiday greetings to everyone celebrating Hanukkah. We did a little research on cats and Hanukkah and discovered a book called Hanukkah Cat by Chaya Burstein. It’s about an orange kitty that comes upon a household on a cold December night, peers through the window to see a family lighting a menorah on the first night of Hanukkah. The family’s little boy Lenny sees the cat and let’s it into the house. The cat gets into all sorts of trouble over the next eight nights of Hanukkah. That’s all we know about the book. Amazon.com says it’s out of copies. So, we’ll never know how it ends unless we can buy the book. If Amazon wants our business, Jeff Bezos better restock his warehouse. Good thing we found the website, www.oytoys.com that has plenty of copies in stock. Once we get the book we’ll let you know what happens. We hope it’s a happy ending. Maybe the cat gets a dreidel or some latkes.
As we write this, it’s the third night of Hanukkah. We’re thinking of a girl named Sammi and hope she got to light the menorah with her mommy.
