How to Pass Time While Waiting for Downtown Abbey Season Four

masterpieceIs cwazy to fink we has to wait til January to watch Downtown Abbey Season Four while our lucky anipals and dere hoomans in da UK get to view it in a just a few weeks. So what’s a kitteh and her staff to do while waiting and avoiding spoiler alerts? We have some pawtastic ideas!

  • Enjoy many of da Masterpiece Classics from over the decades. Some of our favorites include Lily Langtry, Brideshead Revisited, Upstairs Downstairs, The Buccaneers and The Forsythe Saga. You can find these on Netflix, Amazon and other movie vendors. You can see a full list in the PBS Masterpiece archives.
  • Indulge in a Jane Austen fest. Make a pot of tea, curl up on da couch wif your staff, kittehs and doggies and watch all da Austen classics like Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, Emma, Mansfield Park, Northanger Abbey and Persuasion.
  • Read. If you’re a fan of other historic periods prior to the roaring 1920s, we recommend British author Alison Weir who has written extensively on da Tudors. We also loved PD James’ mystery Death Comes to Pemberley, a follow up to Pride and Prejudice.
  • Explore da 1920s. Our pal @NikePurrfektCat also has swell ideas. So be sure to read her bloggie Waiting for Downton Abbey Season Four for a historic perspective on da culture and times of da Downtown Abbey time period. Nike and her mum provide some fun period ideas. If you like the 1920s, check out dere blog for swanky fings to do.

Da best and number one idea….

Pamper your furry family members. Fink how much pleasure you will experience when you shower your kittehs and doggies with massages, nommie treats, toys and extra play time.

And no peeking at dose Downtown spoiler alerts.
